Picking On The NFL...Week 9

Last week I went 9-5, correctly guessing 64%, which sucks. You can't win any office pools that way. I'm not happy unless I'm over 75%. It was a weird day, as I went 9-1 in the 1pm games, only to finish with a 0-4 run the rest of the way. Let's hope for better production this week.

Here are my picks for this weeks contests:

BAL @ CLE -1 1/2
CLE 16 BAL 13
Both teams are playing well and Baltimore won the first match up 28-10. I may be drinking the kool aid here.

TAM @ KC +9
TAM 33 KC 14
KC had some luck running the spread offense vs. the Jets last week, the only thing the spread is good for this week is a couple token Td's.

NYJ @ BUF -5
BUF 23 NYJ 17
Jets are not good on the road, the Bills are good at home. Do the Jets make the playoffs?

ARI @ STL +3
ARI 34 STL 24
Lots of scoring, lots of fun, lots of fantasy points!

DET @ CHI -12 1/2
CHI 31 DET 13
Orton and Forte have their way with the worst defense in the NFL.

HOU @ MIN -4 1/2
MIN 21 HOU 20
This is a very interesting match up. I'll go with the Vikings at home coming off a bye.

GB @ TEN -4
GB 20 TEN 16 (upset special)
The Titans suffer the Monday night hangover coming off their big win Monday.

JAC @ CIN +7 1/2
JAC 24 CIN 14
The Jags have been a major disappointment so far. Good thing they have the Bengals and Lions the next 2 weeks.

MIA @ DEN -3/12
DEN 28 MIA 27
The Dolphins will have success against the Bronco's D, should be very entertaining.

DAL @ NYG -8 1/2
NYG 24 DAL 10
I have a feeling I am going to watch this game and find myself feeling sorry for Brad Johnson.

PHI @ SEA +6 1/2
PHI 26 SEA 7
I'd love to pick an upset here, but I just don't see it.

ATL @ OAK +2/12
ATL 21 OAK 13
I really like the way this Atlanta team is shaping up.

NE @ IND -6 1/2
IND 24 NE 23
A must win for the Colts, I give them this one last chance.

PIT @ WAS -2
NO PICK - SUPERSTITION
But I mean, come on.

Enjoy the games.

Cheers and Hail
