The All-Time Greatest Fantasy Football Team

You ever wonder what would be the greatest fantasy football team ever? Well wonder no more, here it is in all it's glory. This isn't a list of the greatest fantasy players of all-time, but a list of the greatest fantasy seasons from each position. Basic fantasy scoring was used to compile this list and no players were bumped up or omitted based upon my personal preferences...this is the real deal. I love the fact that players from the 50's,70's and 80's made the squad...with Ditka narrowly missing from the 60's. Here's the greatest fantasy football team ever:

There was a time when Daunte was the greatest QB in fantasy…that time was the year before I drafted him in the first round, otherwise known as the year before he blew out his knee and was never the same. 4,717 yards passing to go along with 406 rushing and 41TD’s in 04’.

Emmitt Smith 95’
Emmitt turned his nearly 30 touches a game into 2,148 yards and 25TD’s in 95’.

Tomorrow night at 8:30 is the draft time for the first annual Fatpickled Fantasy Football league brought to you by the Cooley Zone. We have 12 owners in the league from all around the world...so this is our little introductions to each other and the readers of the blog. Don’t take this little 99lb hottie too lightly…she’s the ruler and queen of my household. Her most notable athletic accomplishment is the fact she’s able to do the splits…I don’t believe I’ve taken advantage of that enough over the years (I personally believe twirling baton with Mark Moseley’s daughter trumps the splits.) Her favorite hobby is shopping and she’s interested in having more $$ to do so. Her favorite sports moment was our very own commissioner Kenny Mayne’s Dance Center…favorite athlete is Barbaro. She loves Johnny Depp and Fatpickle’s Mexican cuisine. If Tony Romo actually tried to make a move on her I’d bitch slap both his hat and his crooked smile on straight. She won’t be reading this cuz she doesn’t follow my blog. Welcome Honey, cake or?

TheTightestEnd/Heather Frank

H-Town’s fantasy team will get plenty of support from their owner; she’s a former cheerleader who earned 6 letters in high school. She’s also a 3-time letter winner in softball. She wins the award for having the most famous relative as she had an aunt who was in Happy Days (very cool) and an uncle who was in the movie 10 (did he get to make out with Bo Derek?) Her hobbies include playing and watching sports, writing/blogging, sewing, singing and traveling. Her favorite foods are fish tacos and any Mexican food from the west coast. Favorite movie is Almost Famous and she’s too young to pick an all-time favorite athlete, which makes me feel…old. She comes up with incredible team names and has finished in the top 5 of her fantasy leagues every year she’s played, which is one time so far. She may be the shortest person in the league and may look like “the girl next door,” but watch out for this one. Welcome May Bay.

The “King” was a 5-sport letterman in high school and earned a golf scholarship. His favorite sports moment was the 91’ Skins Super Bowl victory and his favorite players are Chris Cooley and Art Monk. The beautiful thing about the Internet is that no matter where you are in the world you can play fantasy football and google Megan Fox pictures. You see, the King is busy overseas defending our country as a member of the United States Air Force…but he’s going to use his free time kicking ass and taking names in the FFFL. Welcome King, and thank you for your service to our country.



Fanfuckingtastic/Mathew Berkholtz

Whatchooo gonna do when the “Juggernaut’s” fantasy team runs wild on you? He’s a former rugby player and linebacker who wanted to be an archeologist like Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones. His favorite sports moment was when a 65-year-old grandmother in a Ron Jaworski jersey verbally assaulted him at FedEx field, cementing his hate of all things “Filthadelphia.” His favorite athlete of all time is John Riggins. In his spare times he enjoys camping/kayaking, drinking beer, eating crabs and watching the Redskins break his heart…sounds a lot like me. He vacations in Wisconsin every year…WTF? He enjoys reading Fatpickled on the shitter at work; this is my exact target audience! Welcome Matty B.

Skins N' Beer/Eric Pearson

The “Arcola Assassin” is a 3-time basketball letter winner and former captain of the Mary Washington basketball team. He also won the International Shootout competition for the best shooter in the country as a 14 year old. He enjoys watching Matthew McConaughey act in movies without his shirt. He also enjoys Mr. Kenny Powers himself…Danny McBride. He is the younger, wiser and better-looking cousin of Fatpickle (I’ll give you younger…maybe even wiser, better looking?) He enjoys boxing, screenwriting, eating crabs and BBQ. Favorite athletes Ervin “Magic” Johnson and Barret Robbins…haha. Favorite sports moment was the Syracuse/Uconn 7 overtime game he watched from start to finish. He’s the uncle of future Skins D-tackle Christopher McCullers and the reining champion of his fantasy football and basketball leagues. Muffin Head/Michael Morgan

Big Mike lives up to his nickname, as his height and weight are a Cal Ripkenesque 6’4” 225lbs. He lettered in baseball and football in H.S. before earning his degree at Texas A&M. He comes from a proud family of Swedes and Norwegians. His favorite athlete of all-time is Riggo and Super Bowl 17 is his favorite sports moment. Hobbies include golfing and poker…favorite foods are steak and seafood. He’s one of many guys in this league who enjoy Harrison Ford. He’s a 1st time fantasy football player; you got to watch out for those rookies! Welcome Ripple!

Nijas will ow!/Jason Anton

JT was a surfer in H.S. and is now working on enhancing his “Shaq size.” His favorite food is anything from McDonalds that is deep-fried…meaning he takes all McDonalds food and then deep fat fries it. He’s a computer programmer, musician and contributor to this blog. His favorite sports moment is Darrell Green catching Tony Dorsett. His grandfather was a prominent politician type in several different roles during the Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon administrations. His favorite movie is Fight Club and his favorite actor is Brando. He kicks ass in his office pick-em pools; lets see how he fares in the FFFL. Hopefully he’ll make it thru the season, he brings a whole new meaning to “super size me.” Welcome RevJT.

Stuart Pit-Bulls/ Vigrant Kulnarong

V is a former high school football player and is a Red Sox fan…I’m not gonna hold that against him since he’s also a Skins fan. His favorite sports moment was when the Sox erased a 0-3 deficit in the 2004 AL Championship series against the Yankees. He’s a classic movie buff whose favorite actors include Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant. V helps run his father’s family business that distributes foods and goods to many restaurants in the DC/Metro area…so you can thank him for all the great Thai food you get to enjoy. V himself enjoys any restaurant that serves good dessert. His favorite athletes of all time are Ivan Lendl and Wayne Gretzky. V is half Thai and half Filipino and all about winning the FFFL. Welcome V.

Orakpo's Bandwagon/Liam Moy

Liam has never had a nickname that stuck, so it’s our job to come up with one for him. He lettered in golf and once shot a 79 at the UofMD course. He and his wonderful wife Shari have a 22-month-old son and another baby on the way. Favorite movies include Ghostbusters, Godfather’s I/II and Fight Club. He has an aunt who worked for Premiere magazine writing entertainment stories. His uncle ran the Mass. pension fund that scored him really good Red Sox ticket, which should make V. jealous. His favorite athlete is Cal Ripken and his favorite sports moments were 2131 and the 2nd quarter of the Skins/Broncos Superbowl. He just started his MBA program (congrats,) so he has no hobbies. He has performed well in Fantasy baseball leagues…let’s see what he’s got for us in the FFFL. Welcome Liam.

New Kent Zornicators/Brian Davis

Brian was a 3-sport letterman in high school…baseball (2yrs), basketball (4yrs) and tennis (4yrs.) He also played tennis in college at Longwood University (do you listen to a lot of Pat McGee?) His favorite athlete of all-time is Cal Ripken. Brian had a cousin who played cornerback at Va Tech who set the school record with 3 Int’s vs. Florida St. He comes from a tight knit family of farmers (corn, wheat & soybeans.) He enjoys fishing, playing rec. sports with family, steak and attending Redskin games. Brian has extensive experience in all fantasy sports including football and nascar. Another one to watch out for here. Welcome Brian.

The Staches/David Stone

Stoner was an all-region selection in both soccer and volleyball in high school. His favorite actor is Johnny Depp and his favorite movies are Braveheart and Rudy. He had an ancestor who used to change the shitter for the King of England. His favorite all-time athlete is Mario Lemieux and he misses watching Sean Taylor crush people…I do too. His hobbies include playing and watching all sports as well as trying to smoke the worlds best brisket…ironically BBQ is his favorite food. A serious contender for the signed Cooley jersey, he won back 2 back fantasy football titles in 06-07’. Welcome Stoner.

15 Swinging Dicks/Doug Ramey

Fatpickle was a 4-time baseball letterman in high school and was an all-district and honorable mention All-Met his senior year. He played baseball at Shenandoah University where his career was derailed by alcohol. Favorite movie is the Shawshank Redemption and favorite actor is Ed Norton. Biggest athletic accomplishment was hitting a double off Cal Ripken, it only cost 8 grand. Favorite all time athlete of course is Ripken, favorite moments are 2131, Riggo’s run and the Terps basketball championship a few years ago.Famous relatives include Elvis, George Clooney and Jenna Jameson…you should see the family reunion! Fatpickle enjoys fishing, blogging, drinking beer, blue crabs, The Palm and PF Changs. Fatpickle has won Fantasy Football leagues before but list his finest fantasy accomplishment as being the MVP of the 2003 Jennifer Anniston Fantasy Camp. Welcome Fatpickle. Fantasy Football League

Last week on Twitter (follow me there) I announced plans for the 1st annual Fatpickled Fantasy Football League. The response was great...just a couple spots remain. Our Honorary Commisioner is no other than Mr. Kenny Mayne. His duties and resposibilities = none, but he asked for the title and I'm giving it to him.

The league will be set up thru Yahoo Sports, 10 teams, 2 leagues and it's head to head competition.

We will have a live on line draft later this month.

Football Makes Everything Better

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…well, maybe not for the 2,500 NFL players that are reporting to training camp this week. For the next 3 weeks they’re going to be sweating their sacks off in two a day practices. Knocking the shit out of each other, sitting in endless meetings and soaking achy muscles in ice tubs. How do they do that anyway? Just the thought of lowering my boys into ice…not worried about shrinkage…worried about disappearance! Anyway, I’m happier than a puppy with 2 peters because the beginning of training camp means that the 2009 NFL season is upon us and football just makes everything better! Yes, it actually improves quality of life. Sound silly? It’s not; I’ll prove it to you.

10 things football makes better.

#10 – Food – I’m trying to figure out how to lose 10 lbs before the start of the season because I know I’m going to put on 15 during the season! Wings, chips, pizza and dips all taste better during football season. I think Velveeta was invented specifically for the NFL season. It gives us all a reason to eat bad foods because that’s what you do during football games. It just is.

#9 – Sports Blogs – Let’s face it, without football, blogs kind of suck. How much baseball can we talk about? How many top 10 lists can we make up? Bloggers need coaches like Dennis Green and Jim Mora going berserk, that’s good material. Bloggers need bad play calling and underachieving draft picks. And let’s face it; you want to come here to see Cooley talking about the Cowboys, not Fatpickle talking about cheese.

#8 – Sundays – Sunday, the day for rest and relaxation. NOT! There should be nothing relaxing about Sunday. Sundays are for getting nervous, excited and pissed at the Redskins…sometimes all at the same time! So forget about reading the Sunday paper in the lazy boy and watching Tom Watson play golf. It’s so much more fun figuring out how you’re going to pay your bookie because Eli Manning threw a pick 6 in the last minute. It was a sure thing the Giants were going to beat the Bengals.

#7 – Sports Talk Radio- Similar to the bloggers, the radio personalities need some material. How long can they talk about the Orioles and Nats losing? What they need is someone to shoot themselves in the leg, they need an owner having dinner with Shanahan, they can run with that. They need the guy calling in who just lost $500 on the Eli Manning play, that’s good radio.

#6 – Beer – Beer is better during the NFL season …oh who am I kidding? Beer is good all year long; the NFL season does nothing to make it better. But, when the Redskins lose, beer helps…temporarily.

#5 – Tailgating- Unless you’ve been to a Kenny Chesney or Jimmy Buffet concert this summer, you probably haven’t tailgated in awhile. Football gives us a reason to do so. Football gives us a reason for more food, Jell-O shooters, tossing the football around and cornhole. Good times with family, friends and strangers. And if you are tailgating, it sounds like Mama Cooley has the right game plan to follow.

#4 – Personal Relationships – From February to July I talk once or twice a month with some of the people that mean the most to me, but come football season, we may talk once or twice a day. We are always emailing, texting or phoning each other to talk about the games and events of the week. Football brings us closer for 6 months a year and I’m thankful for that.

#3- TV Viewing – summertime is the worst for TV, but that will end soon. We now have the NFL channel, the Sunday Ticket and TIVO working for us. We can watch an entire replay of the game in 60 minutes, anytime we want! No more reruns of the New Adventures Of Old Christine, we got choices!

#2 – Hope and Optimism – There is nothing I want to see more than a parade in Washington D.C for the Super Bowl Champion Washington Redskins. As the season starts I feel like that can happen. I see Cooley on the left and Portis on the right, Obama in the middle. I see it. I’m happy. When I finish this post I’m checking flights to Miami. I’m drinking the Kool Aid; I’ve got my Nikes on.


#1 – Fantasy Football – Is there anything better than Fantasy Football? Most of you are probably working on your cheat sheets and sleeper picks already. The drafts (more fun, food and booze) are so much fun. In late August I will travel back to VA for my league’s 12th annual fantasy draft. 12 years ago we were single college aged guys with no wives or kids. We return this year, most of us married, and we now have 12 kids among us. We’re still kids, just with more chins. We come from Florida, we come from Ohio, it doesn’t matter…football keeps us together. And I (the 22 Swinging Dicks) am going to kick some ass this year.

Now after all that, I have 1 question for you…ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

Fantasy Thoughts Of The Week (that don't include Audrina Patridge)

It's playoff time in Fantasy Football land, and hopefully your team is in the playoffs. I've made the playoffs in all of my leagues, but I'm not feeling too confident. Bad decisions and bad trades have doomed the Fatpickles and the 22 Swinging Dicks.

This is the time of year where you have really great Sundays, or really shitty ones. I mean it really sucks if the team you root for and your fantasy team get knocked out of the playoffs on the same day. I sure hope that doesn't happen, it's a double whammy! And if you are a gambler and have a bad day on top of this, oh man! You'll be in the dumps till Christmas. But I am forever an optimist and I hope everyone reading this is a winner come Sunday!

My Studs this week are all guys that were on my team, but I traded them away. I cannot believe how bad these trades have become (for me). I'm hoping by labeling them Studs they will actually become Duds this weekend!

Aaron Rodgers - I traded Rodgers for Jay Cutler several weeks ago. Cutler has been good, but Rodgers has been better.

Shaun Hill - I traded Shaun Hill for Brady Quinn. I wanted Quinn (a backup at the time) forgetting the fact that Hill was a starter for a Mike Martz's Offense. Quinn is out for the year!

RB

D'Angelo Williams - I traded Williams for Joseph Addai. At the time Williams was in a time share with Stewart, since the trade he is the #1 RB in Fantasy Football! Addai hasn't done much and hurt himself again in practice this week, he's questionable for Sunday!

WR

Marques Colston - I traded Colston for Vincent Jackson. After drafting Colston in the 4th round, he missed 6 weeks with a broken finger. I traded him and he is now playing like a top tier WR. Oh yeah, I didn't start Jackson Thursday Night! 5rec/148yds/59yd TD

Chad Johnson - I traded him for Derek Anderson. Johnson hasn't done much, but Anderson immediately lost his job and when he regained it, he blew out his knee. He is out for the year.

Oh well, if I lose I'll have more time to work on my sales technique!

Fantasy Thoughts For Week 10 (that don't include my wife)

The trades that I talked about last week have produced immediate dividends. After adding Cutler, Quinn, and Addai, I feel I am strengthening my team for a playoff run in The League. Pairing Cutler with Royal on Thursday night produced 86 points for 22 Swinging Dicks, and I lead Sticky Fingers by 109 points heading into today. I feel pretty good about my chances of coming away with a win. My Studs this week do not come with any dialogue, I'm having trouble keeping up with the short NFL week. Cutler is on my list of Studs, as I completed my research Wednesday, but couldn't post till now.

Fantasy Thoughts For Week 9 (that don't include Olga Kurylenko)

Well the car business may be slow, but that didn't stop me from wheeling and dealing this week. I was able to pick up Jay Cutler, Joseph Addai, and Derek Anderson in trades this week. Now it's time to give Porkboy46 the beat down. Here are my Fantasy studs for week 9.

QB's

Cutler - Denver has 4 Rb's on their roster, and all 4 are listed as questionable. Sounds like Denver is going to have to pass a lot, but watch out for Ryan Torain.
Orton - Hard to imagine, but Orton has been a top 5 Fantasy QB for the past 6 weeks. This week he has the Lions.
Pennington - This game has the potential to be a shootout, and Denver flat out sucks against the pass.
Warner - Another game that will have lots of points. Warner goes crazy in the place where he won 2 MVP's
RB's
Forte - He's going against the Lions and you know how I fell about that.
Graham - Dunn is out so he should get the bulk of the carries. KC has the worst run D ever.
Jackson - First he's got to play. But, if he can get over his strained vagina he'll have a big day.
Turner - He's going against the Raiders and you know how I feel about that.
WR's
Avery - Back to back appearances here, but he's hot and the Cards give up lots of TD's thru the air.
Boldin - He's back, he's healthy, and all he does is score Td's.
Evans - He's been posting some big #'s, I don't see the #'s slipping this week.
White - Another guy who appears again this week. Ryan goes to him as much as I go to the fridge for a cold beer.

Week 8 was a pretty good week in fantasy. My teams went 2-1, and I moved up in my rotisserie league. Let's take a quick look to see who were Studs and who were Duds.

Brees - 329yds, 3TD STUD He got the 3 TD's plus 300+ yds

Delhomme - 248yds, 2TD STUD Not 6 TD's but it works

Mcnabb - 278yds, 1TD DUD Now I'm really pissed. I pick summers eve, then he lays an egg

O'Sullivan - DUD Wow, I was drinking the kool-aid on this guy, he's not even a starter anymore

Gore - 159yds, STUD a TD would have been nice but he still had a solid day

Mcgahee - 57yds, 1TD DUD I don't see him being a #1 or even #2 fantasy starter this year

T. Jones - 60yds, 1TD DUD Washington stole some carries and made the most of them

Tomlison - 170yds, 1TD STUD just as I predicted

Avery - 163yds, 1TD STUD If you did not take my advice to pick him up, he's gone now

A. Johnson - 11rec, 143yds STUD this guy is racking up the catches and yards, he may set some records this year if he stays healthy

Brees - Now I know picking Brees is not exactly going out on a limb, but he did have a terrible game last week. This week he's going against the last ranked pass D in the league, and his running game is in disarray. Anything less than 250yds and 3Td's and I'll call this a dud. (weather pending)

Delhomme - The Cardinals head to the east coast again, you can never forget the 6 Td's Favre laid on them.

Mcnabb - It makes me throw up a little in my mouth to type this down.

O'Sullivan - His job is on the line and Martz loves him. Martz will find a way for him to have a solid game against a struggling Seattle team.

RB's

Gore - Coming off a horrible performance, he gets back to himself this week.

T. Jones - Going against a Chiefs run D that might be the worst I have seen in the last 10 years.

Mcgahee - He's been getting stronger and better every week, now he's got the right matchup to have the big day you've been waiting for.

Tomlison - Maybe the biggest disappointment in Fantasy Football this year. He was every one's #1 or #2 pick. You finally get a big game from him this week.

WR's

Avery - This is my pick for a great #3 WR this week. 2 solid games in a row, he had a TD last week plus another long one called back. If he's available in your league pick him up!

A. Johnson - The huge #'s continue this week.

S. Smith - See Delhomme above.

R. White - His last 4 games, 29rec 453yds 3tds. This is Ryan's security blanket, cover yourself in him.

However, if you took my advice on my Fantasy Studs for Week 7, you were sitting pretty. Lets take a look out how my fantasy picks worked out.

Cassel - 185yds, 3TD STUD Wow Brady healed quickly, oh wait that's the Broncos secondary turning Cassel into Brady

Edwards - 265yds, TD STUD barely, only because NFL QB's struggled big time in Week 7. He was a solid play

P. Manning - 229yds, 0TD, 2INT's DUD horrible, he turned the Pack defense into studs, throwing two picks returned for scores

Schaub - 267yds, 2TD STUD another nice game, but what do you expect against the Lions?

Barber - 113yds, TD STUD they fell behind early and got away from the run too soon, could have been better

C. Johnson(Ten) - 172yds, 2TD STUD could have been even bigger, he was tripped up headed to the endzone w/ no one ahead of him

Slaton - 89yds, TD STUD Green stole a TD from him, but still solid

D. Williams(Car) - 70yds, TD STUD I'll take that from a #3 RB any week

A. Johnson - 11rec, 141yds STUD a TD would have been nice, but how can you complain?

R. Moss - 69yds, 2TD STUD 1 more yard and I tie in one of my leagues

Ward - 60yds, TD STUD He's a Stud for this

Wayne - 24yds TD DUD Manning's terrible game = Wayne's terrible game

Bonus Pick

Buc's D/ST - Dud no Td's, they gave up a garbage time TD

Fantasy Thoughts For Week 7

Studs

QB's

Cassel - This game will be a shootout and the Bronco's struggle against the pass.

Edwards - He's coming off a bye last week, should be recovered from the concussion, I see a big day.

P. Manning - Last week the Colts Offense looked like the Colts of old, I think they keep it rolling this week.

Schaub - The Ben Affleck look-alike will have another huge week vs. the hapless Lions.

RB's

Barber - No Romo, and no Felix Jones to steal carries. They will ride him all day.

C. Johnson (Ten) - He's already on everyone's radar, but today is is official coming out party. I mean like Jay Z style.

Slaton - I will continue to pick every skilled-position player who is facing the Lions. Forever.

D. Williams (Car) - This is a reach, as he is in a platoon with Stewart. I think it will be his week to shine. Not a huge day expected, but solid #3 RB #'s.

WR's

A. Johnson - Schaub's big day + Lions D = BIG DAY!

R. Moss - Cassel's big day + Denver D = BIG DAY!

Ward - He seems to have a couple games each year when he scores multiple times, what a better matchup than Cincy?

Wayne - Manning's big day = Waynes BIG DAY!

Bonus Pick

Buc's D/ST - Going up against a Seneca Wallace led Seattle offense. Kiffin practices against this Offense every day. The Bucs might score twice on D.

Week 6 was a great week for my fantasy teams, I went 3-0, and moved up to 3rd place in my rotisserie league. As promised, Steve took his beating. Lets take a look and see how my fantasy picks worked out.
The Redskins - I jinxed them. I am a very superstitious person. Never again will I predict a Redskin's fantasy numbers. That's all I have to say about that.

Favre - 186 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT DUD a letdown

Frerotte - 296 yds, 1 TD, STUD the TD was 86 yds and he is underrated

Mcnabb - 280 yds, 2 TD, STUD barely

Romo - 321 yds, 3 TD STUD giving Jessica the sneaky pinkie

R. Brown - 93 yds, TD STUD marginal, but he got in the end zone

Jacobs - 67 yds, TD DUD, I hate this guy

Peterson - 111 yds, 2 Fumbles DUD no td's, 2 lost fumbles

Pittman - 125 yds, STUD no TD's, but he should have been your 3rd back

Berrian - 131 yds, 86 yd TD STUD Huge!

Breaston - 102 yds, TD STUD Nice game, will be a factor when Boldin comes back

D. Jackson - 98 yds, DUD nice yardage, didn't find the end zone

S. Smith - 112 yds, STUD barely

Looks like 8 studs out of 12. I Meatloafed it.

My Fantasy Thoughts of the Week (that don't include Nadine Velazquez)

I have 4 Fantasy Football teams this year. Well, one of them is Rebecca's, but I am the GM in charge of all personnel decisions. This requires a lot of research each week to ensure I am putting the best possible teams on the field. I have dedicated several hours each Thursday night to research. So far it seems to be paying off as my teams are a combined 10-4-1 (one league is a salary cap league, rotisserie style). Although I mess around with 4 teams, there is still only one team, and one league. In The League this week, my little brother is gonna remember the ass beatings I use to deliver to him when we were kids. Sorry in advance.
Here are my Studs for Week 6.
Studs
The Redskins - every player you have including D/ST. The Rams are 31st in the league on defense, allowing 412 yds per game. Campbell, Cooley, Moss, Portis, and maybe even Randle El have big games. Defensively, the Skins have practiced against an Al Saunders Offense the past 2 years, and the Rams haven't been able to do anything offensively to date so far. Besides that, Cooley, CP, and Vladimir did a little Ram hunting this week.
QB's
Favre - 6 TD's in last outing, he's got the Bungles this week.
Frerotte - If they can't tackle AI, he may not get many chances. I still see at least 250yds and 2TD.
Mcnabb - He's been bitchin and cryin this week. Less than 200 yds the past 3 weeks. No Westbrook. Reid strokes him to 300 yds and 3 TD's.
Romo - Favre threw for 6 against the Cards, if he gets half that its 3!
RB's
R. Brown - "Wildcat" until further notice.
Jacobs - The Browns suck against the run, and the Giants are riding him.
Peterson - He's going against the Lions, enough said.
Pittman - Young is out, I think it's Pittman, not Hall that takes advantage. Shanahan likes lots of RB's like Gruden likes lots of QB's.
WR's
Berrian - He seems to be Frerotte's go to guy, and well its the Lions.
Breaston - 16 catches for 199 yds in last 2 games. The Cards will be playing from behind again this week.
Desean Jackson - Brown is out and Curtis is still banged up. See Mcnabb above.
S. Smith - He always plays big against the Bucs.

The NFL - That's the End of the First Quarter

With the NFL regular season 25% finished, I thought it would be a great time to rank the top 20 teams, and give you my thoughts on each. I will do this again after week 8. Obviously, it's still very early in the season, and no one should be printing playoff tickets just yet. But that's not to say we have not had an exciting season already, full of excitement and drama. Many questions still remain, more coaches will be fired, more QB's will be benched. This all goes to show you why the NFL is not only the greatest sport on the planet, it's more entertaining to watch than any movie or TV show! If the NFL were a movie, no one could ever guess the ending, and the NFL has more plot twists than a M. Night Shyamaland movie.

I can tell you the next month of this season will feature the BIG BAD NFC EAST beating up on teams like CIN, CLE, DET, SF, and STL.

#1 New York Giants - This pains me to rank them here. They beat 2 teams that have not won a game yet, but they are 3-0 and the defending champs.

#2 Tennessee Titans - They definitely have a top tier Defense that will carry them to the Playoffs. But at some point, it will be Jeff Fischer driving around depressed, because he has Kerry Collins as his QB.

#3 Washington Redskins - Everyone is on notice after last week. A playoff team last year, they are way better this season.

#4 Dallas Cowboys - The Cowboys will be fine as long as they are not playing the Skins or a playoff game. Oops, sucks for them!

#5 Buffalo Bills - I don't know a lot about this team, nor do I care to find out. But, they are 4-0.

#6 Philadelphia Eagles - Big showdown this weekend with the Skins. Ultimately, their playoff chances will hinge on how many games Mcnabb and Westbrook will miss due to injury. I don't like their chances.

#7 Pittsburgh Steelers - This team is banged up, and they have a tough schedule ahead. I think they win the division with a 9-7 record.

#8 Carolina Panthers - Big match up next week Vs. #9. It's a coin flip right now between the two.

#9 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Brian Griese needs to take better care of the ball. I do like him in Fantasy this weekend vs Denver

#10 Denver Broncos - Easily the most exciting team to watch. The defense will have to be better to advance come playoff time.

#11 San Diego Chargers - They are 4 Pt's away from being 4-0. 2 bad calls away from being 4-0.

#12 Baltimore Ravens - If the D stays healthy, they could challenge the Steelers for the division. Did I really just write that?

#13 New England Patriots - They still are 18-1 in the regular season the past 2 years. I'm anxious to see how Cassel does coming off the bye week, and getting a lot of reps.

#14 Jacksonville Jaguars - This team will take them as far as Taylor and Drew can carry them, not Garrard. Where is the daunting Greg Williams D so far?

#15 Green Bay Packers - There is no such thing as a slight sprain to the throwing shoulder of your starting QB. They have no viable backup, where's Brett Favre?

#16 New York Jets - He's the starting QB for the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets! A bye this week followed by CIN, OAK, KC. That looks as good as Thanksgiving dinner!

#17 New Orleans Saints - The NFC version of the Broncos. Fun to watch, but a lot of things to work on to get to the playoffs.

#18 Indianapolis Colts - They are fading, but they will find a way to make the Playoffs this year. A little more concentration on the running game with Addai will help things.

#19 Chicago Bears - I really like this running back Forte, that was a great pick. Orton on the other hand?? B Lloyd made more big plays in 4 games with the Bears than he did in 2 seasons w/ the Skins.

#20 Minnesota Vikings - I still like this team to contend for the division. It will take a healthy AI the rest of the way.
#20 (tie) San Francisco 49er's - I also like this team to win a weak division. I still am drinking the Kool-aid on O'Sullivan.

The 21 teams above are the teams that I think still have a chance @ the playoffs. Here are 3 teams that have serious issues!

Oakland Raiders - Why does Al Davis write so many letters, and when did he turn into the Church Lady? Email somebody, or better yet, talk to them face to face. 3 years from now the Raiders will still be a 6-10 team, and Lane Kiffin will be coaching a perennial top 20 college program. Al, may the next letter you write be your resignation letter!

Cincinnati Bengals - Are they really this bad? Did Palmer and Ocho Cinco lose it that quickly? And did they really just pick up another guy with a lengthy criminal record? How about the first time Benson and Henry hit those Kentucky clubs? Lewis is done.

St. Louis Rams - With the seventh pick in the first round, the 22 Swinging Dicks select......Steven Jackson.
